Nigeria’s Under-23 team, the Dream Team, defeated Gabon U-23 side 2-0 and qualify 6-1 on aggregate for the next round of the All-Africa Games qualifiers.
After a 4-1 first leg win in Libreville, one expected a stroll in the park in the return leg for the Samson Siasia-tutored side but it wasn’t so as they were made to sweat for their victory at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Seun Oduduwa gave the Dream Team the lead in the 68th minute with a long-range effort.
Junior Ajayi doubled the lead in the 87th to wrap up the win for Nigeria who will now face Zambia in the next round.
