Nigeria U-23 team, the Dream Team, have arrived in Gambia for a 10-day training programme ahead of the 2nd Africa U-23 Cup of Nations taking place in Senegal.
The team escaped a plane crash on their way to the West African country on Sunday morning and had to make an emergency landing in Accra, Ghana, due to technical problems.
But thenff.com now reports that an airplane that was on the ground in Accra was deployed for the purpose of flying the team to Gambia.
Meanwhile, Kingsley Sokari, Nzube Anaezemba and Daniel Etor have been dropped from the team for what Samson Siasia termed indiscipline.

Siasia said the players were dropped after they requested to leave the camp to go for Enyimba’s last Glo Premier League match of the season against Sunshine Stars in Lagos.
“I feel bad in taking this decision, but discipline must be maintained for us to achieve success in Senegal,” Siasia told thenff.com.
“All players in camp were told not to leave camp as the team would be traveling this weekend to The Gambia for pre-championship training, only for these three players to come and ask to be allowed to go play for their club as they wanted to be part of the victory parade. I had no option but to allow them to leave and also in the process, leave them out of the team.”

However, Victor Osimhen, 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup record top scorer, and three of his teammates joined up with the U-23 team to Gambia.
