Sadiq Umar, Super Eagles striker, scored his first goal in over a year to secure a 2-1 victory for Real Sociedad over Sevilla in La Liga on Sunday.
The 26-year-old made the scoreline 2-0 in the 22nd minute with a sailing wonder strike from over 30 yards out.
The strike was Umar’s first goal in a competitive game since he scored on his Sociedad debut on September 3, 2022.
The following La Liga match day after his debut, Umar suffered a nasty injury and damaged his cruciate ligament, ruling him out of the campaign.

In France, Terem Moffi scored the game’s only goal as OGC Nice claimed a slim 1-0 win over Toulouse in a Ligue 1 fixture on Sunday.
The strike was Moffi’s fourth league goal of the season. The victory maintained OGC Nice’s unbeaten run in the league, which has helped the team to second place on the log.
