Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has directed all government officials to suspend travelling with immediate effect.
She also issued a-week ultimatum to those presently out of the country to return home or be considered as abandoning their jobs.
Sirleaf urged them to join hands in the fight against the deadly virus, which continues to claim more casualties.
On Tuesday, Miguel Pajares, a Spanish priest who contracted the disease while working for a non-governmental organization in Liberia, died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Madrid.

Asides cancelling a trip to a summit of African leaders with President Barrack Obama in Washington DC, US, Sirleaf earlier ordered the closure of the country’s borders. All football-related activities in the country were also suspended.
On Tuesday, the Liberian government confirmed that the United States would be sending Zmapp drug to its Ebola patients.
In addition, nine Chinese disease control experts arrived in West Africa on Tuesday to assist in the prevention and control of the virus. China had earlier pledged to send medical supplies worth $4.9m to Ebola-afflicted countries.

Ebola has no known cure or vaccine.
