David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi state, has approved the increase of the state’s traditional rulers’ palace maintenance allowance from N40,000 to N100,000.
Emma Anya, Umahi’s chief press secretary (CPS), disclosed this in a statement issued in Abakaliki, the state capital, on Monday.
Anya said the increase took effect from August.
“The ministry of local and chieftaincy matters is to ensure the implementation of the latest approval by the governor,” the statement read.
