Ebube Duru relishes debut Eagles call up, says ‘I’ll never disappoint’

Ebube Duru, Lobi Stars player, says he is elated with his debut call-up to the Super Eagles.

The left-back is among the 18 players invited for the international friendly against Liberia on Tuesday.

Duru has been in fine form for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions.

He was also impressive for the Super Eagles B team in the 3-2 loss to Atletico Madrid in May.

“It’s a joy for me earn a call up into the Super Eagles team,” he told TheCable.

“I promise to work hard and I will never disappoint my fans.”

The friendly match with Liberia is in celebration of George Oppong Weah, Liberian President and former world footballer of the year.
