Anthony Adefuye, a member of the governance advisory council (GAC) in the Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu.
While acknowledging that there is hardship in the land, Adefuye, a third republic senator, said the president’s reforms will yield efforts soon.
He also appealed to Tinubu to announce the minimum wage for people to have money to purchase things rather than waiting for palliatives.
“So far, so good. I think we should all be patient. His efforts will yield fruits. You can see the dollar rate is coming down now. I believe everything will stabilise soon,” Adefuye told TheCable in a chat.

“All I just want him to do is to announce the minimum wage as soon as possible so that people can have the power to purchase whatever they want, rather than all these palliatives.”
Adefuye also said he was alarmed about the funds being recovered from appointees who served in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“What is alarming now is the amount of corrupt money being recovered from those who were in the Buhari administration,” he said.

“One would not have imagined that a man as strict and disciplined as Buhari would allow that to happen during his regime. That is the only thing that bothers me.”
