Edo assembly reinstates two lawmakers after five months suspension

The Edo state house of assembly has reinstated two suspended lawmakers after five months.

They are Daniel Okogbe, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker representing Akoko-Edo II, and Adeh Isibor, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to represent Esan north-east I.

In May, the assembly suspended three lawmakers over an alleged plot to impeach the speaker and other principal officers.

However, Bright Iyamu, representing Orhionmwon south, was recalled in June after being found “remorseful”.
