Clem Agba, a former minister of state for budget and national planning, has purchased his expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state.
Henry Idahagbon, a former attorney-general and commissioner for justice in Edo, picked the form on behalf of Agba on Wednesday at APC national headquarters in Abuja.
Agba is the first to purchase the forms ahead of the party’s primary election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled September for the conduct of the governorship election in the state.

The former minister will contest the party’s primary against the likes of Oserheimen Osunbor, former governor of Edo, and Blessing Agbomhere, the party’s south-south zonal secretary.
In a post on X, the ruling party, said: “The Party has flagged off the sale of nomination forms for the Edo State Guber Election with the National Organising Secretary, HE. Sulaiman Argungu presenting the 1st Expression of Interest & Nomination forms to former Minister of State for Budget & National Planning, Clem Agba.
“The former Minister was represented at the presentation ceremony by a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Edo State, Henry Idahagbon at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.”
