The Edo state government has announced an indefinite postponement of resumption of all schools in the state over the increase in petrol price.
Ojo Akin-Longe, permanent secretary of the state ministry of education, disclosed this in a memo on Saturday.
On September 3, the National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited increased the pump price of petrol to N855 across its retail outlets in the country.
Independent and major marketers of the products have also adjusted their prices, ranging from N855 to N1,000.
