Wale Edun, the minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, will speak at the Daily Trust Dialogue in Abuja on Thursday.
Also to speak at the event are Joseph Ajaero, president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Victoria Akai, immediate past director-general of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).
The themed, ‘Tinubu’s Economic Reforms: Gainers and Losers’, will drive the conversation at the event.
In a statement on Sunday, Ahmed Shekarau, group chief executive officer (CEO) of Media Trust Group, said the personalities would analyse the various reforms being undertaken by the current administration of President Bola Tinubu.

He said this year’s dialogue will be combined with the presentation of the winner of the 2023 Daily Trust African of the Year award.
Shekarau also said Imtiaz Sooliman, a South African humanist, emerged winner of the 2023 award after a rigorous process undertaken by the selection board for the award, which is being chaired by Festus Mogae, former President of Botswana.
According to the statement, several other economists, industrialists, businessmen and women, as well as eminent citizens are expected to participate in this year’s Daily Trust Dialogue — which is the 21st in the series.

The event will be held at the NAF Conference Centre & Suites, Abuja, and other notable personalities expected include Tope Fasua, special adviser to the president on economic matters in the office of the vice-president, and Taimur Samad, operations manager at the World Bank country office in Nigeria.
Also, Mohammed Bago, governor of Niger state is one of the confirmed special guests at the event.
Other special guests expected include Muhammadu Yahaya, chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum and governor of Gombe; Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra; Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa; Umar Namadi, governor of Jigawa; Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation; and Thami Mseleko, South African high commissioner to Nigeria.
Other dignitaries expected at the 2024 Dialogue are former state governors, serving and former lawmakers, chairmen and members of market associations as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from across the country, members of civil society organisations, development partners and diplomats.
