The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 29 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin, Edo state capital.
The anti-graft agency announced the arrest in a statement shared on its X account on Friday.
The EFCC said the suspects were taken into custody after operatives acted on credible intelligence.
The suspects were said to have been nabbed at an apartment used as a “yahoo academy or training school” for internet-related fraud and other fraudulent activities.
