The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says its operatives in Enugu have arrested a suspect, Hussaini Ibrahim, over currency racketeering.
In a statement on Thursday, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s spokesperson, said Ibrahim was found with N200 denomination notes amounting to N460,000 around Emenite in the Enugu metropolis.
Oyewale added that operatives acted on an intelligence report that led to the suspect’s arrest.
He said the suspect will be charged in court after the completion of investigations.
