The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says its operatives have arrested one Ese Isaiah, proprietor of an “internet fraud training school” and 13 students in Edo state.
The EFCC said the suspects were arrested on Thursday in Benin, Edo state capital, following intelligence of their activities.
In a statement on Thursday, the anti-graft agency listed the suspects as Alex Aimuanosa, Jeremiah Umoru, Destiny Aghayere, Christian Oghenekevwe, Wisdom Christopher, Daniel Matthew and Gift Patrick.
Others are Lucky Paul, Godspower Osatuohien, Edafe Isaiah, John Elvis, Favour Oseghale and Osas Egho.

“Operatives of the Benin zonal command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 arrested Ese Isaiah, proprietor of a ‘Yahoo School’, and 13 of his ‘students’,” the statement reads.
The anti-graft agency said items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, laptops and a Lexus ES350.
The EFCC said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigations are concluded.

In May 2019, EFCC also arrested the proprietor of an “internet fraud training school” as well as his students in Lagos state.
