The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has detained 10 of its officers attached to the Lagos zonal command over alleged theft of operational items.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC spokesperson, said the officers were arrested last week based on the directive of Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the commission.
Oyewale said the officers are “answering questions related to the theft of some operational items that they could not account for”.
The EFCC spokesperson did not mention the names of the officers involved in the alleged theft.
