The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) interrogated Martin Elechi, former governor of Ebonyi state, at its head office in Abuja on Monday.
A source at the commission told NAN that Elechi arrived EFCC’s office at 10 am.
The source said that the former governor was at the commission to honour the invitation by commission.
On January 29, 2015, the anti-graft agency also invited the former governor’s son, Nnanna Elechi, for interrogation.

The former governor, who left office on May 29, after a second term, could not face the anti-graft agency earlier since he had constitutional immunity against prosecution.
Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman of EFCC, confirmed the information.
