Official Twitter handles of federal government agencies are still tweeting, despite the suspension imposed on the microblogging and social networking platform in the country.
Lai Mohammed, minister of information, in a statement on Friday, said Twitter was undermining Nigeria’s existence, hence the decision to “indefinitely” suspend its operations in Nigeria.
The suspension comes days after a Twitter post by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 1967 civil war was deleted by the microblogging platform.
One of the mediums where the suspension was announced was the Twitter handle of the ministry of information.

Following the announcement, TheCable observed that several other government handles were making use of their Twitter handles to disseminate information.
The Twitter handles of the ministry of interior, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), among others, were also very much active in the wake of the suspension.
Below are tweets from the government handles.
