The Pharaohs of Egypt will play two friendly games against Djibouti and Malawi ahead of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) qualifiers.
The seven-time AFCON winners, who have not qualified for the championship in three attempts, have been drawn in Group G of the qualifiers alongside with Nigeria, Tanzania and Chad.
And in preparation for the challenge, the Pharaohs will play Djibouti on May 21 before they meet Malawi on June 8.
“The Egyptian Football Association (EFA), under the leadership of Gamal Allam, asserted that the associations have reached an agreement to play two friendly games ahead of AFCON qualifiers,” the soccer body stated on their official website on Wednesday.

Coach Hector Cuper has set up two training camps – one between June 18 and 21 and another between July 7 and 14.
Egypt will kick-off their AFCON campaign on June 14 against Tanzania.
