The federal government has declared November 20 as public holiday to mark the Eid-El Maulud celebration.
This was made known by Abdulrahman Dambazau, minister of interior.
In a statement by M.B Umar, permanent secretary of the ministry, Dambazau urged Muslim faithful to align themselves with the prophet’s teachings which “border on piety, charity, tolerance and peaceful co-existence”.
He called on Nigerians to uphold these virtues with a view to overcoming the current challenges facing the country.
