Eight children at Japanese care home test positive for coronavirus

A care home for infants in Tokyo, Japan, says eight of its children have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to New York Times, tests were conducted on 29 children in the institution after an official tested positive for the disease on April 16.

Tokyo Saiseikai Central Hospital, which runs the facility, said none of the children showed major symptoms such as fever. However, the affected children have been hospitalised, while the other 21 who tested negative are under observation.

The institution also added that seven of its 47 staff (including the person who already tested positive),  have been instructed to stay at home because of fevers or respiratory troubles.
