Eight NBA stars lead D’Tigers 15-man list for Tokyo Olympics

Mike Brown, D’Tigers head coach, has announced his 15-man list as the preparation for the Tokyo Olympics enters crunch time.

The head coach trimmed the team down from a 49-man list that was released earlier this year.

According to him, the final 12-man list will be revealed after a friendly series lined up for the team before they depart for Tokyo.

The 15-man list is headlined by eight NBA stars, including Jahlil Okafor, Detroit Piston Centre, who is in line to make his international debut for Nigeria.

Minnesota Timberwolves’ Josh Okogie and Metu Chimezie of Sacramento Kings will be making a return to the team following their exploits at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China where the youngsters helped Nigeria secure an Olympics ticket alongside Ike Iroegbu.

Also on the list are Jordan Nwora of Milwaukee Bucks, Obi Emegano of Fuenlabrada, Caleb Agada of Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Ekpe Udoh of BeiKong, Stanley Okoye of Herbalife Gran Canaria, Mike Gbinije of Nevėžis Kėdainiai, and Chima Moneke of Orléans.
