The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has named a five-member electoral committee to conduct its ward congresses in Ekiti.
Udom Emmanuel, governor of Akwa Ibom, is the chairman of the committee, with Kola Ologbondiyan, former national publicity secretary, will serve as the secretary.
Other members of the committee are Michael Mku, Modinat Abosede and Adedibu Mustapha.
The exercise is scheduled for January 15 in all the 177 wards in the state.

Umaru Bature, national organising secretary, said the committee “is mandated to conduct party congresses in the state for the purpose of electing 3 ad-hoc ward delegates”.
The PDP had fixed January 26 for the primary poll to elect a candidate to represent the party in the June 18 governorship election in the state.
Bisi Kolawole, former PDP chairman in Ekiti; Segun Oni, former governor, and Kolapo Eleka, former deputy governor, are among the aspirants who have indicated interest to contest the election on the platform of the PDP.
