Ekiti to host two-day summit on digital innovation

The Ekiti government has announced a two-day innovative summit to boost the state’s digital economy.

The summit will take place on November 21 and  22, at the Bishop Adetiloye hall in Ado-Ekiti, the state’s capital.

The theme of the summit is “Innovate Ekiti: kick-starting Ekiti state’s pathway to prosperity”.

In a statement on Monday, Seun Fakuade, commissioner for innovation, science, and digital economy, said the summit was part of governor Biodun Oyebanji’s stride in boosting the digital economy of the state.

“In a bold stride towards fortifying the Digital Economy landscape in Ekiti State, the State Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Digital Economy is delighted to announce its forthcoming two-day Innovation Summit,” the statement reads.

“Scheduled to take place on November 21 and November 22 at the prestigious Bishop Adetiloye Hall in Ado-Ekiti, this summit carries the theme, “Innovate Ekiti: Kick-starting Ekiti State’s Pathway to Prosperity.

‘This pioneering event represents a significant initiative aligned with governor Biodun Oyebanji’s unwavering commitment to innovation, science, and the digital economy.”

Fakuade said the keynote speaker at the summit is the governor of Ekiti.

“The primary objective of the innovation summit is to drive progress, development, and a brighter future for Ekiti State,” he said.

“It will serve as a vital platform, bringing together a diverse spectrum of stakeholders, including young innovators, government officials, and industry leaders, who collectively share a vision for Ekiti State’s growth and prosperity.

“Key highlights of the two-day summit include: keynote addresses and expert insights, the summit will feature a keynote address by His excellency, governor Biodun Oyebanji, and distinguished speakers, providing invaluable insights into pivotal topics such as innovation, science, and the digital economy.

“Thought-provoking panel discussions; in-depth panel discussions will explore the pivotal role of innovation in State development and the seamless integration of digital solutions to bolster Ekiti State’s future.

“Interactive workshops; hands-on workshops designed to equip participants with practical skills essential for navigating a technology-driven future will be a cornerstone of the event.
