The remaining members of the Christ Apostle Church (CAC) abducted by gunmen at Ifon in Ose LGA of Ondo have regained freedom.
The victims, who were said to be choir members of the Oke Igan church in Akure, the Ondo capital, were attacked and kidnapped while travelling in a bus to a burial ceremony last week.
A few hours after they were abducted, the police said they had rescued eight of them.
In a new development, Olufunmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, spokesperson of the police command, confirmed to TheCable that the remaining abductees had been set free.

She said the victims, who regained freedom on Thursday, have been reunited with their families after undergoing medical checkups at the hospital.
Odunlami-Omisanya added that she could not confirm if a ransom was paid to release the victims.
“There are 11, and they have all been released,” the Ondo police spokesperson told TheCable.

“They were released yesterday night, were first taken to the hospital for treatment, and would be with their families by now.”
In June, Ibrahim Bodunde-Oyinlade, the chief Imam of the Uso community in Owo LGA of the state, was abducted by gunmen.
The 67-year-old Imam was abducted from his farm and was released only three days later.
