Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, broke his goal drought after scoring for Fenerbahce in the 2-1 win over Karabukspor in a Turkish Premier League game played Saturday evening.
The 58th strike against his former club is the 27-year-old first goal in 10 games spanning a period of three months.
His second half strike gave his side the maximum points despite the hosts reducing the tally late on.
Emenike, who last scored in November 2, 2014 in the win over Besiktas, now has three goals in 15 games to his name.

He then heaved a sigh of relief thanking his team mates and club officials for backing him throughout his dry spell. He also explained why he celebrated the goal against his former club.
“For us, it a really nice game. I want to thank our president, coach and my teammates,” he said at a press conference.
“They did not lose their trust in me, they always encouraged me. I want to thank them individually.

“I celebrated at the same time and I want to talk about the goal I scored against my former team. On their behalf, on behalf of the fans, I’m sorry. I did not score for a long time so I celebrated it.
“Actually, I never changed; I am still the same Emenike. I think it is something inherent in football. Sometimes things do not go as you want.”
Emenike scored 12 goals in 28 games last season just two goals less his best outlay of 14 in 23 games for Karabukspor in the 2010-11 season.
