‘His creative abilities will be missed in energy industry’ — Dan Kunle mourns Ifeanyi Ubah

The late Ifeanyi Ubah.

Dan Kunle, respected energy expert, says Ifeanyi Ubah, a former senator representing Anambra south, was a businessman who “entered the oil and gas industry with great values”.

On July 26, Ubah, who was the chief executive officer (CEO) of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, died in London, United Kingdom (UK).

The late senator was also a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ubah joined the ruling party in October 2023 after he left the Young Progressive Party (YPP).

In a statement on Monday, Kunle, also a former special adviser to the minister of petroleum resources between 2006 and 2009, said Ubah’s value addition and creative abilities will be missed.

“We lost a gem, senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a brilliant businessman, who out of courage and creative abilities entered into the oil and gas industry with great values,” he said.

“It is not only the family and his ward that will miss senator Ubah. His friends and Nigeria will miss his value additions and creative abilities.

“May our good Creator grant us and the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“Capital Oil remains the first investment in the tanks farm business to add a huge storage space receptor for white petroleum products in Nigeria.

“May his legacy live on and his amiable wife with the lovely children be guided by God’s grace. Sleep well my dear Aburo Sen Ifeanyi Ubah.”

Kunle said he would miss Ubah’s “lovely laughs and the way you call me, Oga Dan Kunle”.
