Enitan Oshodi elected as ATTF deputy president

Enitan Oshodi, former president of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), has been elected as the new deputy president of African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).

The Nigerian won the poll unanimously at the virtual general assembly of the continental body on Saturday.

According to a statement shared with TheCable, Oshodi had the votes of the 22 delegates present at the assembly.

Reacting after the election, the former Lagos state commissioner for sports said he will continue to improve the sport across the continent.

“I am so grateful for this massive support and I believe we have started a journey that will lift the fortune of table tennis and I believe with your support, we can continue to raise the bar of the sport in Africa as well as compete with the rest of the world,” he said.

Meanwhile, Olabanji Oladapo, secretary general of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), won one of the eight slots of the board of directors of International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and was also appointed the chairman of the advisory council of ATTF.

Egypt’s Khaled El-Salhy was also reelected for a third term in office as the president of ATTF.
