Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, will miss the opportunity to notch up his 101th cap in Sunday’s game against Bafana Bafana after he was ruled out through injury.
Nigeria meet South Africa in Nelspruit on March 29 after Wednesday 1-0 loss to the Cranes of Uganda.
But the 32-year-old, who earned his 100th cap in the game at the Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo, will miss the next one due to backache.
“Vincent has been ruled out of the match with Bafana Bafana due to back injury. He suffered a relapse of the injury while playing in the game against Uganda and the coaches wanted to substitute him during the game but thought otherwise and allowed him to finish it,” Toyin Ibitoye, the team’s media officer, told supersport.com.

“But right now he is definitely out of the next game and a replacement is certain to be called up for him.”
Stand-in-coach, Daniel Amokachi has called up Warri Wolves’ Daniel Akpeyi in his place.
The Super Eagles are likely to depart the country on Friday for the friendly match against South Africa.
