Nigeria’s Enyimba have been eliminated from the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup by Pyramids of Egypt.
The People’s Elephants failed to overturn the 4-1 goal deficits in the first leg away in Cairo.
Enyimba were dumped out of the competition at the quarterfinals stage on a 5-2 aggregate after they could only salvage a 1-1 draw in the second leg at the Aba International Stadium on Sunday.
Ibrahim Adel, the first leg brace scorer, got the visitors in front in the 32nd minute of play.

Anayo Iwuala, the Super Eagles winger, who was absent in the first leg due to suspension, however, levelled the scoreline for the home side eight minutes after Pyramids scored.
The Fatai Osho boys dream of being the first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side to win the CAF Confederation Cup was shattered by Rodolfo Arruabarrena’s wards after the encounter ended in a draw.
The last year’s runners-up are now looking forward to going one step better by winning this year’s tournament.
