Leaders, Enyimba, lost 1-0 to Giwa FC in a Nigeria Professional Football League match on Sunday.
The only goal of the game came in the 74th minute from the penalty spot after Enyimba defender Emmanuel Anyanwu handled the ball inside the 18-yard box. Captain Charles Henlong converted the spot kick.
However, Enyimba remained on top of the log with 52 points from 28 games, four points clear of Warri Wolves, who toppled Sunshine Stars from second spot after the Akure-based team lost 2-1 to Shooting Stars in Ibadan.
