Enyimba targets CAF Confederation Cup glory

Ibrahim Mustapha, Enyimba striker, says his team’s “main challenge” is to win the CAF Confederation Cup this season.

The People’s Elephants have already qualified for the semi-final of the competition and will play Raja Casablanca in a two-legged affair.

He told TheCable that “our main challenge is to reach the final and win it.

“Enyimba are a big ­African club so it is normal that we are one of the main candidates for the Confederation Cup title.

“The trip to Morocco can be complicated but we are professional players and the minimum requirement is to give our best performance in the game.

“The squad is big and we are able to fight in both the Confederation Cup and Aiteo Cup.

“The Confederation Cup is the second most important trophy for clubs in Africa and many players want to win it in their careers.

“Nobody in Enyimba would play with this opportunity.”
