Arsenal defeated West Ham 5-2 in their derby encounter at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Bukayo Saka was again influential for the visitors, scoring two assists. The winger also won a penalty in a match with different goal scorers.

Arsenal went 4-0 up when captain Martin Odegaard slotted home a penalty won by Saka before Kai Havertz dispatched the fourth following a defensive blunder.

Although defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson halved the deficit for West Ham, Saka bagged a goal his performance deserved from a second penalty-kick awarded for a foul on Gabriel on the stroke of halftime to restore a three-goal gap.

There was no further goal action in the second half as Mikel Arteta’s men saw out the encounter, securing a win that moves them to second place on the log with 25 points from 13 matches, two more than third-placed Manchester City but six points away from pace setters Liverpool.
