Arsenal scored four goals within 20 minutes in the second half to consign Chelsea to a debilitating 5-0 loss in their English Premier League (EPL) match at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Leandro Trossard’s opener and a blitz of goals from Ben White (2) and Kai Havertz (2) saw the Gunners shoot down Chelsea, piling more misery on the Blues.
Chelsea narrowly lost to Manchester City in their FA Cup semi-final over the weekend and came to the Emirates under a cloud, while Arsenal looked to continue their title challenge, and they fully took charge from the first minute.
Arsenal raced into the lead on four minutes when Trossard fired from a tight angle to squeeze the ball past Djordje Petrovic, Chelsea keeper, at his near post.

Petrovic made amends with a string of excellent saves to deny Arsenal doubling their lead and was successful going into the interval.
His resistance was however broken by Arsenal, with a flurry of goals rushing in via the boots of White who tapped-in a rebound on 52 minutes before Havertz added two further goals to give Arsenal a four-goal lead.
White completed the rout with a mishit cross that nestled into the top corner as Mikel Arteta’s side pummeled their out-of-sorts London neighbours.

Arsenal have now gone unbeaten in five matches against Chelsea, while Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea manager, continued his winless record at the Emirates with the latest defeat.
The victory sees title-chasing Arsenal stay top of the EPL with 77 points from 34 matches, three points ahead of Liverpool, while Chelsea remain in ninth position on 47 points from 32 matches.
