Omar Marmoush scored a first-half hattrick for Manchester City, English Premier League (EPL) champions, in their 3-0 league win over Newcastle United at the Etihad on Saturday.

The Egyptian striker, who joined City in January, provided the spark against Newcastle United with a 13-minute hattrick as Pep Guardiola’s side reminded the league of their credentials despite the absence of Kevin de Bruyne, who was on the bench.

Mamoush began the demolition job on Newcastle in the 19th minute when he ran onto a long punt forward from goalkeeper Ederson Moraes before delivering a perfect lob over the onrushing visitors’ goalkeeper for 1-0.

He netted the second with a deflected strike in the 23rd minute for 2-0. The 26-year-old scored his third goal in the 33rd minute when he smashed home Savinho’s pass from 12 yards to score the first hattrick of his professional career.
