Odion Ighalo just can’t stop scoring!

The fairy-tale goal-scoring run of Odion Ighalo, Super Eagles’ striker, continued on Saturday as he scored his 10th goal of the English Premier League season for Watford against Sunderland at the Stadium of light.

The striker was in action for 90 minutes and scored the only goal of the game four minutes into the encounter, his 16th appearance of the season.

He is now within touching distance of league’s top scorers, Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) who has netted 14 goals and Romelo Lukaku (Everton) on 11 goals.

The win has taken Ighalo and his team to seventh position on the log.

He will hope to continue his scoring form to join Nigeria’s top scorers in the history of the EPL: Yakubu Aiyegbeni (96 goals), Nwankwo Kanu (54 goals), Efan Ekoku (53 goals), and Osaze Odemwingie (36 goals).

Kelechi Iheanacho came on as a substitute for Wilfried Bony on 83 minutes in an entertaining game that saw Manchester City return to the summit of the EPL, Yaya Toure’s his long range shot deflecting off the Nigerian starlet into the net to seal the winner.
