Liverpool came from two goals down to share points with Brighton & Hove Albion in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Leandro Trossard was Liverpool’s undoing as the Brighton forward scored a hat-trick to consign Jurgen Klopp’s side to a fourth stalemate of the EPL season.
Roberto Firmino scored twice either side of halftime to draw Liverpool level before Andy Webster’s own goal gave the Reds a brief lead.
Torssard handed Brighton the lead on five minutes with a shot that nestled into the bottom corner before repeating the trick on 18 minutes with another well-placed shot into the far corner beyond Alisson Becker, Liverpool goalkeeper, for 2-0.

Firmino halved the deficit with a cool finish from Mohamed Salah’s controlled pass, before restoring parity nine minutes into the second half.
Webster inadvertently turned Luiz Diaz’s knock-on from a corner kick to complete the comeback for Liverpool but Brighton would have the last word on the outcome with the equalizer on 85 minutes to make it 3-3.
Trossard was on hand to convert at the back post. The Belgium forward became the first player to score a hat-trick at Anfield since Andrey Arshavin in 2009, and the third ever.

The draw means Liverpool continue its stay in mid-table oblivion, sitting ninth on the EPL log and 11 points behind Arsenal, the league leaders, who delivered a convincing 3-1 win against Tottenham in the North London derby at Emirates Stadium.
Goals from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka ensured the Gunners picked up a seventh win in eight matches so far in the season, opening up a four-point gap over second placed Manchester City.
