Darwin Nunez scored a 99th-minute winner as Liverpool laboured to a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter on Saturday.
The injury-hit Reds were not afforded the high-tempo style they are known for and were restricted to only a shot in a first half Forest went closest to scoring. They were, however, denied by Caoimhin Kelleher, Liverpool goalkeeper who saved Anthony Elanga’s shot when one-on-one with the former Manchester United winger.
Jurgen Klopp’s side improved as the second period wore on and it was substitute Nunez who scored an unlikely winner deep into added time.
The Uruguayan striker rose highest to nod in Alexis MacAllister’s cross to take all three points for the EPL leaders who opened a four-point lead at the top.

In other matches, Chelsea salvaged a point in their 2-2 draw away at Bretford, thanks to Axel Disasi’s 83rd-minute equalizer, while Newcastle United ended their winless run with a 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Tottenham also won at their London Stadium, coming from behind with three goals in 11 minutes late in the game to defeat Crystal Palace 3-1.
