Mason Greenwood scored a late winner as Manchester United won 1-0 against wasteful Wolverhampton Wanderers in their English Premier League (EPL) match at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday.
In Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s 100th EPL match as United manager, the Red Devils were dominated for most of the match by Wolves but were bailed out by a mix of excellent goalkeeping and woeful finishing from the hosts.
The win sees Solskjaer’s team secure a 28th match unbeaten record away from home in the EPL, breaking Arsenal’s 27 away games record set in 2004.
Adama Traore and Trincao both ran United’s defence ragged in the first half but wayward finishing denied the enterprising duo a goal. Joao Moutinho also fired wide while Aaron Wan Bisaka cleared another Trinca opportunity off the line.

Despite being underwhelming, Man United found the back of the net through Bruno Fernandes but the attacker was offside while receiving Paul Pogba’s pass as a scoreless first half came to an end.
The home side continued to dominate after the interval but were expertly denied by David De Gea. The Spanish shot-stopper made a fantastic double save on Romain Saiss’ chances. The Moroccan defender saw his header from a corner kick saved and a close-range follow-up shot stopped by De Gea to keep the scores level.
Trincao, the tricky Portuguese winger on loan from Barcelona, was again put clean on goal but could not hit the target from inside the box, with his mishit shot squirming wide to the frustration of his manager and fans.

Greenwood eventually scored the winner against the run of play on 80 minutes in controversial circumstances.
Pogba’s tackle missed Ruben Neves who feigned contact and went down while Man United continued and worked the ball to Greenwood, and the 19-year-old’s low shot squirmed into the back of the net.
Man United remain unbeaten in three matches while Wolves are yet to register a point in the opening three weeks of the league.
In an earlier match, Heung-Min Son score a match-winning freekick to help Tottenham overcome Watford at their London stadium.
