Marcus Rashford scored a 93rd minute winner to help Manchester United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old England international striker struck the only goal of a match they started brightly but faded in the second period.
The goal was Rashford’s first league goal at Old Trafford since July and the sixth of the EPL season.
While United had Cavani up front and could have taken the lead under 10 minutes, Wolves missed Raul Jimenez, their star striker, who is recuperating from a fractured skull.

The game was going for a stalemate that would have confined but clubs to successive draws until Rashford struck for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men.
The Manchester-born football star collected a long Bruno Fernandes’ pass, found a yard of space in the box before unleashing a left-footed shot that deflected off Romain Saiss and sailed into the net.
The win takes Man United to second position on the EPL table with 30 points from 15 matches, two behind Liverpool, the league champions and current leaders.

In other matches, Alexandre Lacazette scored 21 seconds after coming on as a substitute to hand Arsenal a 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
It was the Gunners’ second win in three days after they had earlier gone seven matches without a win.
Leeds United, on the other hand, excelled where Liverpool failed as they humiliated West Bromwich Albion 5-0 away from home.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men scored four times in the first half, including a 25-yard own-goal to stroll over Sam Allardyce’s West Brom.
