Arsenal conceded three second-half goals to crumble to a 3-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Goals from Jose Ensico, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinian all but extinguished Arsenal’s faint title hopes.
The match was a feisty one with Brighton pulling out the dark arts to disrupt Arsenal’s free-flowing style, a target they achieved as both sides went into the halftime break goalless.
Brighton then took the lead through Ensico on 51 minutes when a poorly cleared ball was sent back to him and he headed into the net.

The Seagulls, walloped 5-1 by relegation-threatened Everton in midweek, made it 2-0 when Undav produced a cheeky lob over Aaron Ramsdale before Estupinian scored in added time from a rebound.
Mikel Arteta’s men remain second on the log with 81 points from 36 matches, handing Manchester City the control with a four-point advantage.
The reigning EPL champions won 3-0 at relegation-threatened Everton to move within two matches of successfully defending their EPL crown.

Ilkay Gundogan was the star of the match, scoring two and providing an assist for Erling Haaland’s goal. City are currently on 85 points from 35 matches.
A win in their next match will seal consecutive EPL titles for the club.
