Sheffield United scored a last-gasp equaliser to draw Chelsea 2-2 in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Bramall Lane on Sunday.
The Blues, who snatched an eleventh-hour victory against Manchester United in midweek, could not hold on twice against a struggling Sheffield United, with goals from Thiago Silva and Noni Madueke nullified by Jayden Bogle and Oli McBurnie.
Silva was handed the easy task of finding the back of the net from an early corner kick, and the 39-year-old Brazilian obliged, putting his side ahead in the sixth minute.
Bogle struck back for the home team in the 32nd minute. A shot from the English defender bounced off Dorde Petrovic, Chelsea’s goalkeeper, into the net to draw United level.

Early in the second half, Madueke restored Chelsea’s lead after he cut in from the right and drove his shot into the far corner, but the Blues were undone by a late McBurnie goal three minutes into added time to share the points.
The draw was Chelsea’s’ fourth in six EPL matches, and they remain rooted to ninth position on the log, while Sheffield United continue to suffer a similar fate at the foot of the table with 15 points from 31 matches.
Earlier, Liverpool’s title bid faltered following a 2-2 draw with Manchester United. The entertaining encounter at Old Trafford saw the Merseysiders lose a lead before halting United’s’ comeback with a late equaliser to share the points.

Luiz Diaz gave Liverpool an early lead in the first half that they dominated, but the hosts were handed a way back early in the second half.
Bruno Fernandes latched on to a poor pass to equalise before Kobbie Mainoo’s’ long-range strike put United ahead.
Salah then converted a late penalty to snatch a draw that sees Liverpool move to 71 points, level with leaders Arsenal, but remain in second place due to an inferior goal difference.
