Manchester City conceded two late goals to play out a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Goals from Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis had Man City breezing to victory before the complacent defending champions were halted in their tracks, no thanks to late inspiration from Jean-Philippe Mateta.
The French striker converted a cross in the 76th minute before winning a penalty that Michael Olise converted in the 95th minute.
The scoreline condemned Man City to the club’s third consecutive draw at home. Pep Guardiola’s side moved temporarily to second on the table with 36 points, the same haul as third-place Arsenal and one behind leader Liverpool.

Tragedy was averted in Bournemouth, where Tom Lockyer, a Luton Town defender, collapsed off the ball in the 65th minute.
The club captain, who had heart surgery earlier in the year, was attended to on the pitch by medics and was reportedly alert before he was rushed to hospital.
The match, poised at 1-1, was eventually called off by the referee.
