Mohamed Salah scored the winner as Liverpool defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 in their English Premier League (EPL) fixture at Anfield on Saturday.
The Egyptian striker’s goal gave Jurgen Klopp’s side the lead for a third time in the match and it was enough to seal all three points.
Diogo Jota had given Liverpool the lead twice but Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White strike restored parity.
After a goalless first half dominated by Liverpool, the home side took the lead two minutes into the second period when Jota headed in following a corner kick.

But a strike into the top corner by Williams, a former Liverpool player, restored parity four minutes later.
Jota, the Portuguese forward, made it 2-1 with a shot that found the bottom corner before Gibbs-White returned the favour with a similar strike in the 67th minute.
Salah settled the match three minutes later with a strike of his own from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pass.

The win moves Liverpool up to seventh position on the log with 50 points from 31 matches, while Forest remain in the relegation spots.
Elsewhere at the King Power Stadium, Kelechi Iheanacho’s equalizer from the penalty spot inspired Leicester City’s 2-1 come-from-behind win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
