Manchester United surrendered a two-goal lead to settle for a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspurs in their English Premier League (EPL) clash at their London Stadium on Thursday night.

Goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford were cancelled by Pedro Porro and Heun-Min Son as the race for a top-four spot heats up.

Rashford set up Sancho to slot into the far corner in the 7th minute before the speedster used his pace to create space and then lashed into the net from a tight angle.

Tottenham, under caretaker coach Ryan Mason, improved in the second half and pulled one back through Porro’s fine strike after Harry Kane’s shot was blocked.

Kane would go on to assist Son for the leveller on 79 minutes, crossing for the South Korean to slot in at the back post.

Neither side seized the initiative afterwards and both settled for a share of the spoils.

Man United remain fourth with 60 points from 31 matches, while Tottenham are six points behind in fifth position.

Goals from Callum Wilson (brace), Joellinton and Jacob Murphy were enough to give the Geordies a seventh win in eight EPL matches.

Eddie Howe’s side are on 62 points from 32 matches, eight points clear of fifth position.
