Jabiru Abdullahi-Tasuri, chief of staff to Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina, presented the APC membership card to Shema on behalf of his principal on Thursday.

“This marks a historic shift in the political landscape of the state. The defection is a homecoming and a reunion with political family members,” the chief of staff said.

Shema said he joined the APC to contribute to the development of the state and country.

In 2023, the Katsina state government led by Aminu Masari said it had withdrawn an N11 billion fraud suit against Shema.
