Paul Ebiye Hamilton, former Nigerian footballer and coach, has died aged 76.
Hamilton, the first coach to take the Super Falcons to the World Cup in 1991, died in his home on Thursday in Surulere, Lagos.
‘Wonder Boy’ as he was fondly called had been bedridden with heart and kidney related problems.
The former NEPA player’s right leg was amputated in January.

He was hired as head coach of the Nigeria national football team in 1989 but was fired after the country failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in 1990.
Hamilton also coached the U-20 national team.
He received his UEFA coaching license in the summer of 2006.

The Bayelsa state indigene who was raised in Onitsha, Anambra, became a football administrator after retiring from active coaching.
Hamilton served as head of technical department, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), a position he held until he retired from public service.
