Ahmed Musa, Super Eagles captain, has been spotted wearing jersey number 9 instead of the one assigned to him at his unveiling.
The gaffe happened at his first training session with Kano Pillars after his popular move back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
On April 13, Musa was unveiled at the club’s secretariat and assigned the iconic jersey number 7.

“I left Pillars over 10-years ago without winning the league then but now, by God’s grace, I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League title,” he had said.
But in a video of his first training with the club on Monday, the 28-year-old former Leicester forward was spotted in a kit numbered nine with the name Abayomi JR written just beneath the team’s emblem.
The club is currently preparing ahead of the NPFL second stanza that’s billed to resume with the team’s visit to Warri Wolves on April 28.

Kano Pillars are currently second on the league table behind leaders Kwara United on goal difference.
The Ibrahim Musa-Jugunu tutored side will be hoping the vastly experienced forward can stir them to win the league this season.
