Anthony Elishama, secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa chapter, has been suspended for three months over allegations of mismanaging N1.35 million.
Elishama has also been asked to refund the amount within the period of his suspension, and to return all properties of the association, including vehicle and documents to the CAN secretariat.
Stephen Dami Mamza, chairman of CAN in Adamawa, announced the suspension in a statement made available to NAN on Saturday in Yola, the state capital.
According to Mamza, Elishama’s suspension followed the unanimous decision adopted during the state executive meeting of the association held on Thursday.
