In an interesting turn of events, Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, is teaching business and agriculture at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos.
The 59-year-old billionaire was seen teaching the Owner Managers Programme (OMP) of the Africa’s leading business school.
Sharing his success story with the team of managers, Dangote advised that businesses should not be done totally on foreign exchange.

Dangote, who fielded questions from the OMP class, advised the managers to focus on Agriculture in a bid to drive diversification and revenue generation.

In an interview with Aljazeera, Dangote, who has been Africa’s richest man for at least three successive years, spoke on his investment ideas and love for Agriculture.

‘‘We [Dangote Group] are not doing like other Africans who keep most of their money in the bank. We do not keep money in bank. We fully invest whatever we have and we keep on investing,” he had said.
“If we [Dangote Group] had followed the trend of dealing with oil, we would have tainted our name. People would have thought ‘You [Dangote] made so much money because you did a lot of unethical dealings in the oil industry.”
He has repeatedly expressed his love for not just being Africa’s richest man, but being the continent’s biggest philanthropist, helping others create wealth.
According to LBS, the OMP programme is “designed for owners/managing directors of small and medium scale organisations”.
