EXTRA: ‘He’s a miracle-working God’ — Keyamo celebrates ministerial nomination with gospel song

Festus Keyamo, immediate past minister of state for labour and employment, tweeted the lyrics of a popular gospel tune in celebration, after news broke that he is well on his way to becoming a federal minister for the second time of asking.

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu sent a letter to the senate to say he was withdrawing Maryam Shetty as one of his ministerial nominees and replacing her with Mariya Mahmoud.

The president’s correspondence also disclosed that Keyamo’s name was being added as the 48th ministerial nominee.

It was all Keyamo needed to literally break into a dance and roll out the drums on his official Twitter page, with emojis to boot.

“He’s a miracle-working God. He’s a miracle-working God. He’s the Alpha and Omega, He’s a miracle-working God!” he tweeted.

A renown lawyer, Keyamo served as one of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers from 2019 to 2023.

He was spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council in the buildup to the 2023 general election.

He gave as good as he got on the campaign trail in support of Tinubu, who was declared winner of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
